How did you get started in the roofing business?

In 2004, after Hurricane Charlie and a couple other hurricanes criss-crossed the state of Florida, we had some family in desperate need of a new roof on a commercial building in historic downtown Kissimmee and a friends residential home.  Both projects were completed over two separate week-ends and I’m still scratching my head as to how we got them done so fast.  The next year my father started Townsend Roofing and Construction Services, Inc. and I quit my previous job and made him hire me as the first employee, been enjoying it ever since

Why did you join the Association?

To keep better up to date on changes within the industry and how to possibly influence those changes to ensure they are for the betterment of all they may affect.  In addition, I want to network with other roofing professionals.

Goals for the Association:

To make the public aware of the professional licensed roofing companies and keep all informed of the changes that develop in the industry.
